I have a background in improvised and contemporary music performance and construction, as well as music for dance and theatre. I have performed contemporary compositions for Bass Clarinet, with or without tape, I have made music for theatre and dance etc.

At the moment i mostly study and use extended playing techniques and freeform improvisation on the bass clarinet, departing from the tone richness and complexity of the instrument into a deeper understanding of music, the instrument, and what it means for me. with digital electronic setups and environments I further or deeper research and experience of linear, non linear and simultaneous forms of expression within the realms of electronic and acoustic sound and and expanding my possibilities .

is a youtube channel where I started putting vids that would highlight specific techniques and sounds at first w/ technology but later more the accoustic part of the bass clarinet.

I studied the bass clarinet for 8 years in and around the conservatory w/ H Sparnaay.

now when I am studying or practicing I zoom in on special or extended techniques, as a permanent starting point for my music making with the bass clarinet, after so many years of technical training and excersises, the scales & etudes etc, I find it time to abandon that and use my training to go to other layers of sound on the horn.
